Privacy
The NotchHold app runs on your Mac. It has no account, no analytics, and no server of ours behind it.
This website counts page views and which buttons get clicked, using Vercel Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not follow you across sites, and records no personal data: what arrives is a count of visits and clicks, not a profile of you. Nothing about the app or anything you drop on the shelf is involved.
Nothing you drop on the shelf is uploaded, logged, or sent to us. Items live in memory and in a temporary folder on your disk that is removed when the app quits.
The one exception
When you drop a web link, NotchHold can fetch that page to show its title and preview image. The request goes directly to the linked site, not to us, which means that site learns you have the link. This is on by default and can be turned off in Preferences → General.
Licensing
If you buy Pro, your licence key is checked with Dodo Payments, who handle the purchase. The app sends the key and a device name; it does not send anything you have dropped. The key is stored in your Mac’s Keychain.
Updates
The app checks notchhold.app/appcast.xml for new versions. That request carries the version you are running and nothing else.
